The New York Megaphone is BACK.

The Megaphone was originally published in tabloid newsprint, printed in NYC, from 2005 to 2008 by a team of “Citizen journalists pursuing the unreported story” as a part of the Vox Pop coffeehouse in central Brooklyn. Publisher Sander Hicks has won awards for starting Vox Pop and for his independent publishing about George W. Bush, with Soft Skull Press, Inc. in 1999.

We returned to a print edition in Fall of 2018, printing 100,000 copies of our “Impeach Trump” issue a full year before the US Congress took up the cause.

We are part of the new national movement, where new political candidates sweep out old-guard, calcified corruption. We support the candidacies of progressives like our friend, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Marcela Mitaynes, Julia Salazar, and others.

Sander Hicks, publisher of The New York Megaphone, has appeared on 60 Minutes, CNN, Cinemax/HBO, Press TV, and repeatedly in the New York Times.

Highlights of the New York Megaphone’s Previous Exclusive and Daring Journalism

We broke stories on FBI corruption in NYC and Shreveport, LA.

In NYC, we focused on the Lin DeVecchio scandal, in which an FBI Supervisory Agent was indicted on four counts of murder. But the case fell apart in court when the prosecution took a “Dive to the Mat.”

We exposed the corruption of Governor Eliot Spitzer, including his role in the insurance fraud of Larry Silverstein, of Silverstein Properties. We broke the story of Spitzer filing an “Amicus Brief” to help Silverstein reap an extra billion dollars in insurance money for 9/11/01.
